Groundworks service

 

At The Wooden Workshop we offer a full design and advice service to help you make the most of your outdoor space.

We will guide you through the options, advise on the best timber, accessories, finishes and also help with any site preparations.

If any necessary groundwork needs to be done at your property we can help with this to ensure a firm and level foundation.

Where possible, we will conduct a site visit before work commences. This means we can check access to the area, the suitability of the ground and if any preparation works are needed.

This helps us to provide you with an efficient delivery and installation service. Here are some of the services we can provide:

Removal

We can remove and dispose existing concrete pads, foliage, small trees and shrubs. 

Reinforced Concrete Pads

All our concrete bases have a damp course membrane laid. Larger and uneven sites have cement fibres added because this adds extra strength and durability to the pad.

Drainage Channels

We can also lay drainage channels for our dog kennels installations and we will always ensure we use a grade C35 or above for any concrete bases for dog kennels.

Timber Platforms

If a concrete base is not quite what you need we can install  timber platforms to support your building.

Unaccessible Spaces

If you have an unaccessible area we can also use pumps to get to spaces where a conventional concrete mixers cannot go.

Brick Foundations

Our team can lay brickwork, if you wish your building to be sited onto a brick layer
