This lovely 6m x 3m Waney edge Shed was recently built for a customer in Crediton. This style of outbuilding is becoming increasingly popular for its beautiful rustic effect.

We prepared the ground before installation as it was a very uneven surface. We levelled the ground towards the rear of the structure, and created the foundation holes for the frame. The supporting posts are pressure treated 100mm x 100mm timber, set in post shoes and concreted into place for a strong foundation.

The storage building itself was created with a strong 50mm x 75mm framework and cladded with lovely 25mm Waney Edge Douglas Fir siding. The fitted windows, one of which is opening are glazed with 6mm laminated glass. The interior flooring is pressure treated 25mm x 150mm floorboards on a 50mm x 150mm framework.

The roof is black onduline roofing sheets supported by OSB3 boards, including a transparent Ondulite panel. This building was finished with heavy duty galvanised fixings, including hidden hinges on the wide access double doors. The doors open inwards for safety  to keep the stairway clear.

This is just one example of the many different styles and finishes in our extensive outbuilding range. We specialise in custom built sheds and outbuildings.
