We are working with a fabulous charity at the moment . We are constructing candle holders for a company called HIP – Hope In Planks. They are raising money for a orphans in Guatemala and for every product they sell they will be donating 10% to the cause. They are also selling chopping boards, pestel and mortars, wooden spoons and much more. For more information please see there fundraising page. We wish them all the success for such a worthy cause. Here is a little bit more about HIP

We are Chris and Amy, a young couple based in Plymouth UK. Chris has a degree in Economics and currently works in Marketing for a local company. Amy has a degree in International Business with Spanish and currently works for a national debt counselling charity. Our hobbies include surfing, cycling, and keeping our 20 year old rusty surf wagon roadworthy. We also both love to travel and between us have visited many countries, the majority of these being developing countries. On our trips we have been involved in various voluntary roles, including teaching roles, manual labour and offering business advice in order to enable people to live self sufficiently. During our time overseas our eyes were opened to the reality of poverty and injustice as well as the need for sustainable funding in order to be able to help effectively. It was these life experiences that led us to begin looking into ways to sustainably help in a tangible and effective way, and so Hope in Planks was born.

We welcome large orders on projects and we love doing bespoke projects. For more information then please contact us on 01398 332266 or you can email us on info@wooden-workshop.co.uk
