Description
These are our Shillingford gates which have been constructed using Iroko timber. The gates are a closed board design constructed using mortise and tennon joinery throughout.
They have a small curved cut out piece at each end that our customer requested so her dogs could see out from the driveway.
Iroko is a fantastic timber to use for driveway gates, it is very durable and a very stable timber. It quite similar to Oak as it silvers in over time. It can be hung in its bare state with no need for treating the timber as it has a lot of natural oils in the timber which protect it from the weather elements.
We also engraved the customers house name into the gate frame.
We constructed the gates and delivered and installed them. They have black ironmongery to finish the gates.
