Barn Conversion

We’re in the process of renovating our large barn into a fully equipped workshop.

The large open space is split into two levels with plenty of space but was unfinished and open to the elements.

To begin the refurbishment we started by partitioning the two sections to make the top level an enclosed and heated workspace, using an industrial woodburner to keep everyone lovely and warm.

A new steel framed double door was made for forklift access and a smaller pedestrian door was also installed.

To access the lower storage area a double door and wide staircase was installed.

The lower area was given a concrete floor for timber storage and for our larger builds.

A new lighting system and sink area has also been installed, making an old and tired building into a functional bright workspace.

There’s still a long way to go with this barn conversion, but already we have a usable and more importantly, warm workspace!
